Because our thoughts are our own, we rarely think of questioning them. They spin around in our heads at breakneck speed. We give them importance, and from them, we create terrifying disaster scenarios that exist only in our brains.
The conscious mind, which criticizes, judges, limits, and invents disaster scenarios, wants to control our thought system at all costs. The mind keeps telling us that what we want is "impossible." They erect barriers that we perceive.
And I say "perceived barriers" because, in reality, they're nothing more than a structure of thought and verbal language that creates imposed limits. What we accept as accurate is invented by our conscious mind.
When we seek a solution, our conscious mind keeps us within the limits it imposes (and which we accept), making our liberation impossible. It keeps us prisoners of our negative thoughts.
For all its power, it has one exploitable limit. It thinks linearly. Logic is its world. I go from A, then to B, and so on. He respects his simple mode of analysis and his guidelines.
This is where things get fascinating. Hypnosis is a communication strategy that momentarily hijacks the conscious mind, which judges and wishes to keep all our thoughts under control.
It is put on temporary standby, opening up the necessary space for the subconscious mind to unleash its incredible potential for creativity and problem-solving.
You understand that hypnosis aims to bypass the barriers that prevent us from moving forward and to let unattainable solutions and ideas emerge.
They seemed unattainable to us because they couldn't manifest themselves in the world of the logic of the conscious mind. Our conscious mental world is based on words and verbalizations.
The subconscious world expresses itself outside words in a seemingly abstract dimension where solutions, ideas, and creativity emerge without the conscious mind having access to this process.
Hypnosis, by giving us access to this grandiose inner universe, has enabled me to understand essential elements of our nature:
1.Hypnosis is a language we can use to eliminate the possibility of resistance: to change, to the application of solutions, to creativity.
2.We are at our best when our mind is quiet.
3.Solutions arise when we no longer give importance to limiting thoughts.
I was trained in clinical hypnosis, but other methods led to the same results: meditation, various relaxation techniques, biofeedback, and exercise.
All you have to do is choose the method that suits you and practice it daily.
